I don't Mcknow about you, but I like McAdding "mc" to the Mcfront of words. I mean, it gives them a new McMeaning and a certain McAllure.

But I think the real McReason McDonalds wants the Oxford English Dictionary to remove the word McJob is they know that McPrefix cheapens something to no McEnd. Like if you were to take the word "ghetto" and turn it into "McGhetto"...worse right? Yeah, I know...spooky.

I'm going to start a new series of posts that highlight the stories in the Daily Californian (the Cal newspaper) for which Hongyun has drawn illustrations. The first is Supernova. Apparently, scientists have discovered a brand new supernova. Consider the fact, however, that the supernova is about 240 million light years away so it exploded 240 million years ago and we're just seeing the it for the first time now. In the words of Keanu Reeves, "Whoa..."

I don't know what possessed Cho to do what he did, but whether or not anyone understands does not change what happened.

I'm not sure why this tragedy hits me so close as I don't really have a connection to Virginia Tech in any way, but it does. Maybe it is the fact that these kids and teachers are the sort of people that I respect most in this world. Students and teachers alike are people that, on a basic level, seek to find truth and improve the world for others. I'd like to think I'm part of that group as I seem to be an eternal student in some way shape or form. On Monday, however, acts of abhorrent violence destroyed their dreams and the dreams of those who loved them most.

It is simply impossible to understand what happened, but again that does not change the reality that it has come to pass. There really are no words that can make this better for anyone in Blacksburg. I pray that which ever deity your believe in is watching over all of you right now and that they are helping your through these dark, dark times.

* Los Angeles Students Protest *

I'm just watching this right now on the news...LA Students take to the streets to protest the immigration bill being discussed onthe hill right now. Is this not the lamest thing you've seen?

Oh we're not going to get to jump the citizenship line because we've entered the country illegally...let's protest! Maybe they should get their asses back to school to learn about how to legally enter the country and wait your turn.
