Here's something I've been hoping for and I'm glad someone has taken this on. What made Firefox the IE-killer was the ability to create plugins and OpenOffice seems to be no different. Now, I know that IE has plugins and toolbars and the like too, but for the most part, the more interesting stuff I've seen made is for Firefox. So it's not that it can't do plugins, it's just that there aren't as many compelling and interesting plugins for me to switch back.
