Looks like diabetics may be able to get an implant under their skin to monitor blood glucose levels. Woohoo! I'm so tired of pricking my finger. It doesn't hurt that much, but it's just a pain.
Anyway, I hope this comes to fruition someday.
Gotta love those Canadians. We keep ragging on them, but they sure have nice cities (I've been to Montreal and Vancouver--man they're really nice places) and now this. Canadian researchers have been doing tests on the benefits of buckwheat and have found that it helps lower the blood sugar of diabetic rats. While there have been no human trials, I can say that cold soba noodles are yummy and if they help lower my blood sugar naturally, then woohoo! Link.
