So we've been planning a trip to Yosemite and I've found tons of enourmously awesome Yosemite info. Here's my collection of some of them:
Want to know how much water if flowing around Yosemite? Why would you care? Waterfalls, of course! If you know how much water is flowing, you'll know if the waterfalls will be like a giant firehose or a miniscule spigot. The US Geological Service helps us out in this regard with their water level charts.
I figured there may be a blog from a person in the Yosemite area and lo and behold there is one. Yosemite Blog has lots of photos and great info for your trip to Yosemite. The owner of this blog keeps it up to date with storm warnings and other up to the miniute info.
We have a reservation at the Yosemite View Lodge out on highway 140 near the west gate. This place is nothing fancy or special, but it is quite close to the gate and we've had good luck their before. We're thinking it'll be ok again.
That is until ...
please sir...can I have more "Yosemite Info Nexus"?
This is super cool set of flat-folding plateware that's great for camping or walking the dog (think: portable water bowl). After your pup is done drinking, fold the bowl flat, towel it dry (you did bring a hand towel didn't you?) and stow it away. It can't be better than this, it simply can't.
