In my previous post about the issue, I decided to stick with Bloglines mobile even though it had the huge downside of loading up to 200 items on my PPC-6700 at once which caused the device to just freeze up while it dedicated all of its processing power to the receiving and rendering of data (sorry sir, no time to deal with your piddly input requests!). Anyway, to make a long story short, my PPC-6700 has gone the way of the dodo after I was fiddling with it and installed a homebrewed version of Windows Mobile 6 for the device. I honestly don't believe that running WM6 had anything to do with the demise of my device, but who knows. That glorious week of WM6-dom was downright sweet. The PPC-6700 flew like I've never seen it before. It was basically brand new all over again. Now it's just a dead metal carcass waiting to be ebayed for parts. Oh well, these things happen.
Ok, back to the Google Reader issue. Since I've been relegated to on PC browsing, I've been using Google Reader more and more and have noticed that the keyboard shortcuts are astounding and allow me to save things and publish them on their own feed with unbelievable ease. After seeing the very feature poor Bloglines beta, I realized that they are just too far in Google's rearview mirror for the moment to catch up. After reading this:
Hack Attack: Getting good with Google Reader - Lifehacker, I'm now thoroughly in love with GR. I hope Bloglines comes back and smacks down the big G, but for now I'll be camping out in Mountain View.
