* Mac OS Browser Testing *
comments

Well now that Macs are gaining in popularity (and will soon take over the consumer space, sorry Dell), it is befitting to actually test your websites on Mac based browsers. How to do this if you don't have a Mac? BrowsrCamp.

That's right...this free (and paid) service allows you to take snapshots of pages on Safari for free. You'll need to pay a few bucks a month if you want to view other browsers on Mac OS or if you want to test out Ajax-y, flash-ish type of interactions.

There remains a small but committed group of webtv enthusiasts who would continue to use and promote the product. So,YEs, it would be worthwhile to continue this option especially for the senior population who continue to be the bulk of the base of users. This would require msft to work harder to keep the product current with industry standards and new technologies. A newer version is needed at this time; ? msntv-3. bgates

As a several year user of MSNTV and now MSNTV-2 I believe that we will see further evolution of the WebTv concept unfold. Just as the msntv-2(with broadband) was a striking improvement over msntv (with dialup) I thing there is much more yet to come. Bill Gates frequently talks of his strong belief in the concept of interactive TV with internet in the living room. He seems committed to it. So Yes, I do believe the best is yet to come. Some have said that the new msntv-3 will just be an XBox 360 with a remote keyboard. My believe is that it will be much more. I am anxiously awaiting confirmatory information from the Powers That Be at MSFT.

Thankyou for the recent post about Wii as a means to bring internet content to the living room TV. Does this mean that msntv-2 is going down the tubes? There is some talk about an upgraded version in the works.(?msntv-3). In your opinion, do you think this will happen? I would hate to see the concept die. Are there any other options to replace it other than Wii? I would appreciate your comments on this.Thankyou. rgc
