It was Hongyun's and my 6th anniversary last month. We count from the first day we met rather than the day we were married or anything like that. We celebrated by hitting up my favorite sushi joint in the city: Sushi Groove South. Think sushi bar + DJ playing some nice mellow lounge electronica and you'll know why I enjoy this place. The decor is the same as I remember and is timeless in my opinion...absolutely awesome concrete, wood, and candles everywhere.
Hongyun and I have known each other for six whole years and have been through quite a bit of good times and bad times together as well. In the span of six years, we met, went nuts for each other very quickly, saw each other on and off again for two years (since I lived in the US and she was in China), emigrated to the US, got married, got rabbits, brought Hongyun's parents here, moved to Albany, and got into UC Berkeley, among other things.
It has been quite a ride and I could not imagine anyone better to have shared it with other than my beloved, darling wife.
