So I've been tinkering over at Hongyun's Art Site. Here's how I built the basics of the new site with a mishmash of technologies including Movable Type, Flickr, and a basic Ajax.

1. The homepage thumbnails are actually "blog this" square thumbs from flickr.

2. After I get the post from flickr, I pop Paul Stamatiou's quick flickr slideshow code into the extended entry area of my MT entry.

3. The index template actually creates a call to some basic ajax code to load an html page into the content's div. So when you click on the page, it pops the extended entry's code right into the div (in this case it's the flickr slideshow for the corresponding set and some text).
