How We Green-Tuned an '04 Prius Into a PRIUS Plug-In Hybrid!
Hongyun and I used to own a couple of EVs and circumstances what they were (practicality and finacial) that caused us to get rid of the cars.
We still miss them to this day, especially in the era of $3/gallon gas. My eyes have been wandering towards the Prius Hackers who like to Pimp their Priuses to get over 100mpg! Now, I'm no mathematician, but that means the current Prius tank will get you over 1100 miles!
If that doesn't spark your curiousity, then you must be waiting to throw a party when gas hits $4/gallon in the next year or two. I seriously vowed to keep my Acura RSX-S until it stops running outside of reasonable maintenance and repairs (I figure 2015-2020 since it is an Acura after all), but this definitley has me interested. What'd be even better is if I could get an Escape or Mariner Hybrid and hack it get about 80mpg. A man can dream can't he?
