Gotta love those Canadians. We keep ragging on them, but they sure have nice cities (I've been to Montreal and Vancouver--man they're really nice places) and now this. Canadian researchers have been doing tests on the benefits of buckwheat and have found that it helps lower the blood sugar of diabetic rats. While there have been no human trials, I can say that cold soba noodles are yummy and if they help lower my blood sugar naturally, then woohoo! Link.

Hello everybody: For years my Neurologist didn't care about my higher end glucose 135-167, and neither did I. I knew I was what I ate. 11 pounds overweight. I was able to wash/wax my car, underhood, tune it, to Home Depot for fitting gas cap, to emissions, failed, went around corner for new adjustment and passed, I went to four stores also, and this all without eating since the night before, until 8 pm next day. I am asymptomatic, but a PCP said I am diabetic. L HDL and high LDL. What do YOU think? I am happy with my TV as couch potato; I am disabled with six back fractures and can't do much;only once a year and no lifting. Why do I have to be called a diabetic when I never have symptoms. Thankyou for any insight. :> D.
