* Upstairs Toilet Cracked *

Last night, Scott and Leo came over to have dinner. Actually they were here to sample my secret project which I will dub "Elephant." They seemed to enjoy it from what I could tell which tells me "Elephant" is getting a green light to proceed into phase 2. What is "Elephant"? You'll have to wait and see...no it doesn't have anything to do with my work...it's a new venture that I'm looking into.
They also brought over Quazi (their dog) and Toshi (their son). Toshi has gotten huge since last we saw him...signs that he is being well fed :) Quazi is also now sadly (for us, but happily for him) sans canine compatriots as Scott and Leo decide to downsize their four-legged team from 3 to 1.
Anyway, we were happy to see them and have photos here:
So after they left, we cleaned up and headed to bed. We were both beat from the long week of short (<5 hours) sleeps. I was resolute on sleeping in. Around 6am, I was awoken by Ginger who got up to go to the bathroom, but found our bathrooms filled with standing water. The carpet in the hallway was soaked...as well as my laptop. Amazingly the laptop, external hard drive, and power adapter were still running...go hp!
Right after I awoke, the landlord called me and asked if I had noticed any water dripping from the ceiling. She called in some repair guys and they started tearing the place apart. They cut the carpet and the padding out of the hallway as it was completely drenched and dried up the bathrooms...what a mess.
Ginger was upset but was mostly horrified to find one of her new leather boots from China soaked with water...sigh. I have photos of the carnage here.
And to the dumbasses in apartment 45 that cracked the toilet (this is the 2nd time this has happened to me while living here...and no it wasn't the same people): be careful...I'm pissed off.
