I admit it, I'm one of the six people who watch The Swan. But I don't watch every episode nor do I completely watch any episode. Why? Because it wasn't produced by Mark Burnett. Not to say that Mark Burnett (of Survivor fame) is the god of reality TV, but his shows have a certain something and tap into our deepest, darkest, chewiest impulses.
The Swan is definitely waning in my opinion. The first couple of episodes were ok, but then you realize it's EXACTLY the same each week. Every woman there needs about a 1/2 million bucks worth of surgery and she's ready for porn movies.
But seriously, when I see the women's faces at when they see themselves for the first time after 3 months of mirrorless tranforming, I get frightened. In their eyes, I see "haha! now I'm hot and I'm going to get back at all of those people who thought I was ugly" or "haha! now I'm hot...buy me diamond." I haven't seen one where the woman is just happy that she looks better. Their eyes always say "I was a good person, but now that I'm hot, I'm going to use it to get me a piece of the pie." I don't know if it's just me, but the Swans definitely freak me out.
Another thing....what's with their looks? Some of them turn out just awful. I don't know about you, but silicone D-cups with colagened-to-hell lips is simply awful. My wife asked me if she could get all of that surgery for free if I'd want her to do it. I told her it's really up to her, but I wouldn't want her to turn out like the girls on the show.
