Dean's World: Prisoner Torture
Torture is definitely something that our military should not be involved in, but to think that the Arab world is actually shocked at such treatment in prisons is pretty short-brained. I'm sure Saddam and friends did much, much worse stuff to their prisoners than naked twister. I'm not saying that we should treat anyone that way, but should it surprise those that have experienced this at the hands of their own regime? Also, what's with the reparations? Are you kidding me? Where are my reparations from having to listen to Iraqis cry over so called atrocities US soldiers committed, but were considered a "slow day" under Saddam's watch? Gimme a break...it's just another case of someone using the situation to make some cash. Again, I do not condone the use of humiliation and "semi-torture", but I still think the "outrage" is getting out of hand. It's war after all...

Saddam and the boys used to take people, fully conscious, and feed them through a plastic shredder. If they were being kind, they'd send them through head first, so they would die quickly. If they were feeling extra sadistic, they'd put them in feet first.
They used to take a subject's mother, or sister, or daughter, and rape and possibly kill her in front of him in order to punish him or force him to talk.
A favored torture method was to tie your hands behind your back, then throw you off a roof just high enough that it would likely not kill you but would shatter your knees and face.
You can be more than sure.
