Everybody's customizing everything now. Cars, bicycles, computers, houses (think Monster House), etc. Is it an effort to fulfill our innate instincts to differentiate ourselves from the pack in order to be more attractive to the opposite sex? Are these nature's rules adapted to a 21st century socio-economic context? Look at homey above, for example. He seems to have gotten the girl because his bike has a banana seat and red glowing neon (begs the question: why not LEDs?). Is this what girls look for?
I think in the context of our times, the rules of nature definitely still apply. Business is the new war. Lowrider bicycles with red neon and banana seats are the new muscles. I think these things are not only fun to build and use, but they drill down to our core instinct of appealing to the opposite sex by differentiation.

My lowrider bike is special to me. its my life and everything to me. its my everyday sunshine!a lowrider bike is more than a bike to me it is somthing i devoted my time in and somethhing that keeps me happy. i love my lowrider!

a lowrider is more than just a bike it shows how creative your mind can be. it also shows what people are interested in and better describes the builder. but any one who goes out and buys a complete lowrider is retarded. that shows that they are cheap and lazy

Hello I have been interested in lowrider bikes for a while. But I have one question, what makes a lowrider bike different from other bikes. Beside all the other parts does the frame make it different than other bikes???? Can a lowrider be cosindered as one if it has like a bmx frame?????
