Yes, as you have heard, the movie is gory, but that does not detract from its appeal. As a matter of fact, the near-cartooniness of the violence actually enhances the stylish presentation. All in all, the movie succeeds not because of it's story or gore, but because of the music, the style, and especially the attitude.

I love their style of singing. Their songs are lively and their presence in Kill Bill was great.

The 5,6,7,8's are soo bloody cool! I espeacially love their nu singel (out in Ireland July 5) "Whoo-hoo!" But I also love "I'm Blue" &
"I walk like Jayne Mansfield". These girls rock and they are so great.

Anyone know if 5,6,7,8's band name mean like the fifties, sixties, seventies and eighties ? I've been debating this with my friend.

"Bomb the Rocks", the 5,6,7,8's 1989-1996 Early Days Singles CD is just as explosive and fun as the album cover art.

"Bomb the Rocks" by the 5,6,7,8's is incredible. The first six tracks on "Bomb the Rocks" are the entire "Bomb the Twist" CD--"Bomb the Twist," "Jane in the Jungle," "Three Cool Chicks," "Guitar Date," "Woo Hoo," and "Dream Boy"--way cool. The next six tracks that follow are light-hearted and hilarious. Listen, laugh, and enjoy.
In "It's Rainy", singer Yoshiko Fujiyama rests her larynx by singing softly and slowly. Another softer song on the CD is the final track, "Blue Radio" "Blue Radio," "It's Rainy" and "Dream Boy" are the songs to play at your wedding.
The instrumental "Road Runner" on "Bomb the Rocks" is not the same as the "Road Runner" on "Teenage Mojo Workout". The "Bomb the Rocks" version is a little better.
"Bomb the Rocks" features 27 tracks, making it a very satisfying purchase. The CD booklet also contains numerous pictures of the early days of the 5,6,7,8's. Get the CD and play it over and over.

I am convinced that it is impossible to find any 5,6,7,8's other than "Bomb the Twist" in the U.S. No online retailer stocks "Teenage Mojo Workout" or "5,6,7,8's", "Pinheel Stomp", etc. I want to find copies of these albums without having to pay for them to be imported from Japan. The band is great. I want to see them live in New York in 2004.
