I don't think Bush wants to be President any more. I mean he goes on record to define marriage as between a man and a woman exclusively the day after Bravo posts their best ratings ever due to a gay dating show and a makeover show for straight guys done by gay designers. I think it's time soon-to-not-be President Bush to wake up and smell the 21st century. The gay community is 10% of our population (much higher around the Bay Area where I live) and they should have the same rights as everyone else. The Pope also went on the offensive in condemning gay marriage. I'm certainly glad I'm not Roman Catholic today...I'd feel like an ass if I were. I'm ashamed to be a Republican today too. I'd have to look at it like this: Fiscally speaking, I lean towards the Republican camp (government should be smaller and the money I make should stay in my pockets). But when it comes to most social and religious views, I lean towards the democratic camp. I mean regardless of sexual orientation, every (well not every) working adult in America pays taxes...why should we give them different rights? Just pray (well everyone except the Roman Catholics) that the Supreme Court has enough common sense and grasp of reality to see this "definition" by Bush and pals as super-duper unconstitutional.

The thing is that I do not think the GOP is finacially conservative anymore. I am fed up with the voodoo ecconomics and trickle down tax theft.
