Unbelievable!! This movie was breathtaking. I was engrossed the entire time. When Theoden was preparing the Roharim for the Battle at Helms Deep, I realized..."Oh my god...Peter Jackson is about to bring my imagination to life." It's not every movie or every day that you realize something that you've only seen in your own mind is going to materialize before your eyes. I was in complete awe at the battle scene. I must hand it to Mr. Jackson, "The Two Towers" is not an easy book to turn into a movie. I mean there are many sub stories (since the Fellowship has been broken into three main pieces by this point). I'm sure many who didn't read the books were lost at some points (especially when Treebeard spoke...his voice was kind of low). If he had the ability to make audiences sit through six hours, it would have been much more complete. I mean the stories follow the book quite a bit but there is a LOT that is left out. At any rate...WOW! I cannot wait for the DVD and I hope it's a super extended platinum titanium plated ultra mega edition that extends the movie at least 2 hours. I loved the The Fellowship of the Rings : Platinum Extended Edition...I gotta watch this one again. Poor George Lucas....I mean Star Wars is great and everything but they simply pale next to the LOTR trilogy. It's going to be both exciting and sad next Christmas for the LOTR : Return of the King will be released in movie form and then the trilogy will end.
