I've been reading about Micro-loans for a few years now. These are small loans made to poorer people in third world nations. Loans for as little as $100US can make a huge difference in people's lives in other countries. Most of these people are women who are starting their own business. With the money, they purchase equipment, raw materials, etc. If successful, their children get to go to school for the first time and they contribute to their economy. Now in the US the same trend is starting. Have a good idea? Get a small loan and go for it!
