In the interest of messing around with my Movable Type setup more and getting a more interesting story line setup for our photos, I'm going to work on setting up a photoblog that will document Ginger's and my history together. I'm still in the research phase and some of the photoblogs out there look amazing...
I plan on doing having two main photo sections: the stories and the archive. The stories will be photoblogs and contain images and the stories behind them. I will be converting the current photo gallery into an archive...that way it can contain ALL of the photographs while the stories will present a more interesting and literay approach to the images.
All of this came about by looking at Wayan's site. The way that is set up just makes more sense and seems more interesting...
I'm also planning to make better use of the categories...that way I can post just certain stuff to the main page and have different category pages for different things. I was thinking of dividing it into a tech blog and other stuff....but then again that may not be the best idea....anyway, the photoblog is the first step...I'll worry about reorg-ing the whole thing after I get that all setup.
The photoblog is going to have multiple categories...1) Tommy and Ginger's Story, 2) Interesting photos, and others. Ideally it'd be nice to have a photoblog for each member or group in our family...one for Tammy, one for my parents, one for Ginger's parents, one for extended family and so forth. Eventually, I'd like to have a complete history (or as complete as possible) of our family history in photoblog form. Sounds like a lot of work? It definitely is...but definitely something I feel compelled to put a lot of effort into.
